You don't need to have climbed any summits or be a mountaineer, but it is important to be in good physical condition and have basic trekking experience. This trek isn't technical, but it does involve backpacking, sleeping at altitude, and braving the cold. If you've already done full-day trekking trips and feel comfortable in the mountains, this experience is within your reach.
A gentle yet powerful trek that takes you to the foot of an ancient glacier. Ideal for those looking to get started in the mountains with safety, beauty, and pauses to admire the surroundings and themselves.
This is for me
High Mountain Camp – Between Pintor and El Plomo
Sleeping at altitude, breathing in other times, walking among giants.
This trek invites you to truly experience high-altitude camping, without having to climb challenging peaks. We hike the classic trail to Cerro El Pintor, crossing Laguna Piquetes and advancing to elevated areas where the landscape opens up to Apu El Plomo. From there, we set up a safe, well-equipped boutique camp, allowing you to sleep under the stars at over 3.500 m.
You can choose between a 1- or 2-night option, with the option to reach Plomo Base Camp if conditions permit. We're not looking for the summit; we're looking for the experience. The silence, the starry sky, the conscious effort, and the feeling of being in a world few have set foot in... but everyone remembers.
A profound mountain experience, without a stopwatch or conquest. Just being there.
“A high mountain camp that adapts to your pace and level.”
