You don't need technical equipment: just good footwear and a willingness to walk. What is the best time to go trekking in Santiago?

Most of the hills around Santiago can be hiked almost year-round. Autumn and spring are ideal for weather and views; in summer, it's best to start early due to the heat; in winter, some hills are covered in snow and become mountainous. We'll guide you based on the route and time of year.

What should I bring on a day trek?

The essentials: good hiking boots, layered clothing, a windbreaker or jacket, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and at least 2 liters of water. After booking, we'll send you a detailed list based on the route and weather. Transportation and packed lunches are included.

Can I do the routes without a guide?

Some routes can be done independently, but several cross private land, parks with regulated access, or sections where it's easy to get lost. Going with a guide solves access, transportation, and safety issues, allowing you to enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics. That's why we offer guided tours, both private and group.

Can I go with children or as a family?

Yes. Several routes are ideal for families, such as the El Morado Natural Monument. The important thing is to choose a hike appropriate for the children's age and fitness level; we'll recommend the best option for your group.

Do I need a car to get to the hills?

No. For private tours, we'll pick you up at your hotel or home, and for group tours, we'll coordinate a central meeting point. Transportation is included.
